š Failing Fast, Failing Forward š
Failure isnāt the endāitās a step toward growth.
Hi there,
One other significant learning I had this year was this: failure is not the opposite of successāitās part of the journey.
Weāre often afraid to fail because it feels like an ending. But what if failure was just another step forward?
š Failing fast means taking action, learning quickly, and adjusting course.
š Failing forward means turning every stumble into a stepping stone.
This year, Iāve had my share of failures. For example:
š„ I started a YouTube channel with big hopes, creating one channel in English and another in Turkish. But with my attention scattered, I failed to post consistently and lost momentum.
š¼ My goal was to become financially independent and build multiple income sources. I launched a humanitarian training and consultancy business and built a sustainable income. However, I currently rely on one big project and a few smaller short-term onesāso Iām not financially independent yet.
āļø I also tried to establish a digital marketing/newsletter ghostwriting business. While I made some good money, I couldnāt scale it or turn it into a reliable monthly income.
Hereās the truth:
Every failure holds a lesson, and every lesson brings you closer to success. The key is to reflect, adjust, and keep moving forward.
āØ Todayās reflection:
Think back to a recent failure. What did it teach you? How can you use that lesson to move forward?
Reply to this email and share your thoughtsāIād love to hear how youāre turning failure into growth.
Remember, failure isnāt final. Itās just another step toward something greater.
Fail early, fail often, but always fail forward.
Warm regards,
Selim
