šŸš€ Headaches Are a Sign of Growth: Why Discomfort Means Youā€™re on the Right Track

šŸ’” Whether itā€™s fasting, fitness, or a new habitā€”short-term discomfort is just part of the process. Trust it.

Iā€™ve been feeling headaches over the last few days.

It happens every year in the first week of Ramadan. And while itā€™s uncomfortable, Iā€™ve learned to see it as a sign of my body adjustingā€”just like any other big change in life.

There are three main reasons why headaches happen when we shift our routines:

šŸ”¹ Glucose Levels Shift ā€“ When your body is used to regular meals, sudden changes can cause temporary dips in blood sugar, leading to headaches.
šŸ”¹ Hydration Matters ā€“ Even slight dehydration can trigger headaches. Drinking enough water during non-fasting hours makes a huge difference.
šŸ”¹ Stress & Cortisol ā€“ Hunger itself is a mild stressor. Combined with daily life stress, cortisol levels rise, making headaches more likely in the adjustment phase.

The Key? Trust the Process.

I donā€™t break my fast just because I have a headacheā€”I wait until iftar, knowing my body will adjust. Sure enough, after a few days, the headaches disappear.

šŸ’” This is how all meaningful changes work.

  • Starting a new habit? It will feel uncomfortable at first.

  • Changing your diet? Your body will resist before it adapts.

  • Building a business? Uncertainty will test your patience.

Short-term discomfort is not a sign to quit, itā€™s a sign of transformation. Keep going.
