What’s Holding You Back? Identifying the Bottlenecks Keeping You Stuck
You’re not out of ideas—you’re stuck in patterns. Here’s how to break through and reach the next level in writing, business, and life.”
Every writer, entrepreneur, and creator reaches a point where growth slows down. You start strong, gain momentum, and then… something holds you back. You feel like you’re pushing but not breaking through.
Lately, I’ve been reflecting on my own bottlenecks—what’s stopping me from scaling my business, improving my writing, or reaching the next level in my journey.
More often than not, the obstacle isn’t a lack of ideas or talent. It’s something deeper:
🔹 Not enough leverage – Trying to do everything yourself instead of finding the right “who” to help you scale.
🔹 Spreading too thin – Juggling too many projects instead of doubling down on what works.
🔹 Fear of visibility – Holding back from pitching, promoting, or charging what you’re worth.
🔹 Perfectionism disguised as progress – Tweaking endlessly instead of shipping consistently.
🔹 Lack of a clear system – Relying on motivation instead of structured habits and workflows.
The hardest part? We’re often too close to see our own bottlenecks.
That’s why I’ve been asking myself: If someone else looked at my work, what’s the most obvious thing they’d tell me to fix?
