Who Really Provides for You?

đź’ˇ A Mindset Shift That Changes Everything About Security & Abundance

Hi friend,

We often tie our sense of security to our income.

If business is going well, we feel safe. If work slows down, panic sets in. But here’s a mindset shift that changed everything for me:

Your clients, employer, or business are not your true source of provision.

Yes, they provide the paycheck. But the real source? It goes beyond any single job or client.

Think about it:

🔹 Ever lost an opportunity, only to have another appear unexpectedly?
🔹 Ever worried about making ends meet, but somehow things worked out?
🔹 Ever seen doors open in ways you couldn’t have planned?

This doesn’t mean we stop working hard. It means we shift our mindset—from fearing scarcity to trusting abundance.

I just realized the same thing when selecting the photo above.

Who is really providing all these fruits and vegetables?

Is it the greengrocer? The wholesaler? The farmer? Or the trees and plants themselves. Or is it something greater, something that programs the seeds to grow, provides the perfect conditions, and sustains everything so we can receive these blessings?

For a long time, I firmly believed that God is the ultimate provider.

However, I hadn’t experienced it practically. That changed when I left my full-time job last year to start my own business. I’ve had months with no consistent income and moments where uncertainty crept in.

But every single time I faced scarcity, something came through, an unexpected client, a new opportunity, or support from an unexpected place.

And as Ramadan is just one week away, this reminder feels even more powerful.

Fasting isn’t just about abstaining from food and drink; it’s about detaching from worldly concerns and realigning with what truly sustains us. It’s a time to reflect on where our rizq (sustenance) really comes from and to strengthen our trust in the One who provides for all. Maybe this Ramadan, you can try fasting, not just from food, but from worry, doubt, and the fear of scarcity.

Trust that what is meant for you will come, at the right time, in the right way.
